About:
When you hear the word lavender, France most likely comes to mind. However, Bulgaria is one of the largest producers of lavender worldwide. The slightly fruity and strong floral aroma is what associates this distinguishable scent with fresh cut lavender.
The first use of lavender dates back as early as 600 BC. Decades later, Lavender was used by the Romans and added to their bath water for purity and relaxation. Hence the name from the Latin lavare, 'to wash'. It has been used as a natural form of medicine for thousands of years and is still valued today for its multiple health and mental benefits.
